One of the interesting things that came out of the podcast I recorded with my Mom and Aunt yesterday, was the degree to which my Grandpa and his sister, Aunt Ro, pictured here with my Grandmother (who is on the right), were constantly subverting my Grandmother's attempts to establish limits in the family.

My Mom and Aunt Barb came to the conclusion that having both sides of the family: a serious, boundary oriented side and a playful, more subversive side, actually made for a good balance.
